A Successful Partnership with MobilityPlus

At Roularta, they are focused on the future of mobility, and we at MobilityPlus are proud to play a key role in this transition. Together, we have rolled out an impressive network of charging solutions, with over 150 charging stations installed both on-site and at employees' homes. Thanks to this collaboration, Roularta has smoothly transitioned to electric vehicles, with a comprehensive and flexible solution for charging, both at home and on the go.
In this interview, Luc Vandoorne, Purchasing Director, and Dominique Defever, Fleet Manager at Roularta, share their experiences with MobilityPlus. They discuss how the partnership began, the challenges they faced, and how MobilityPlus supported them in the transition to electric mobility.
What were the biggest challenges you encountered when switching to electric vehicles?
“We began the transition to electric vehicles in January 2020. At that time, there were few suppliers who could help us with both charging infrastructure and charging passes,” Luc tells us. “The complexity lies not only in installing charging stations on-site but also in supporting home charging for employees and on-the-go charging. We were looking for a partner that was independent of car manufacturers and energy suppliers, and that offered flexibility in hardware and software. MobilityPlus turned out to be the only provider that could offer all of this."
MobilityPlus was the only partner that met our requirements for independence and flexibility in managing our charging infrastructure.
How did the partnership with MobilityPlus come about?
“We got in touch with Kris Pensaert from MobilityPlus, probably through a simple Google search,” Luc shares with us. “After discussions with several suppliers, MobilityPlus proved to be the best match due to the independence and flexibility they offered. This was the decisive factor for us.”
How did you experience the implementation process?
“The implementation, both for home and on-site charging installations, actually went very smoothly,” says Dominique. “We also have internal technical expertise to support this process effectively. Although there were sometimes long delivery times due to COVID and other external factors, MobilityPlus' framework proved to be robust.”

How did you find the support and communication?
“At first, we had one dedicated contact person, which worked very well. Now, more of the communication is done via a ticketing system, which took some getting used to, but it’s going well. Our biweekly meetings with John are also very valuable. That communication keeps us up to date with all developments,” says Dominique.
What benefits have you experienced since partnering with MobilityPlus?
“The fact that everything is processed electronically greatly helps with the management of our fleet. Our employees encounter no issues, and we are very satisfied with the Friends and Family Pass, which offers them extra charging options. However, we have noticed an increasing demand for multiple charging solutions within a household, which presents new challenges,” Luc tells us.

The partnership between Roularta and MobilityPlus has resulted in a successful transition to electric mobility. Through our flexible, independent approach and effective communication, MobilityPlus has been able to meet all of Roularta's needs. As the electric vehicle market continues to evolve, MobilityPlus remains committed to supporting Roularta in optimizing their fleet management.
